Hyundai India has officially unveiled the much-awaited Creta Electric SUV, set to make its grand debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17. The new electric vehicle (EV) marks Hyundai’s most affordable entry into the growing Indian EV market. Filling a critical gap in Hyundai’s lineup, the Creta Electric is poised to compete with prominent rivals like the Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6e.
A Design Inspired by the ICE Creta
The Hyundai Creta Electric’s design takes significant cues from its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, maintaining its recognizable silhouette while incorporating EV-specific elements. Notable changes include a closed-off grille at the front and a charging port integrated into the design. The SUV also features newly designed 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels to enhance efficiency and aesthetics.
To further optimize airflow and improve performance, Hyundai has introduced active air flaps in the Creta Electric. The SUV will be available in eight monotone and two dual-tone color options, including three striking matte finishes, adding a fresh appeal to the lineup.

- 42 kWh Battery Pack: Provides an impressive range of 390 km per charge, ideal for city commutes.
- 51.4 kWh Battery Pack: Offers an extended range of 473 km, perfect for long-distance travel.
Charging is quick and convenient with these two options:
- DC Fast Charging: Recharges the battery from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes.
- 11 kW Smart Connected Wall Box (AC Home Charging): Fully charges the battery from 10% to 100% in about 4 hours.
