Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly Election with a high-energy rally in Dhule on Friday, marking a significant start for the BJP’s push to retain leadership in the state. PM Modi highlighted his deep-rooted connection with Maharashtra, emphasizing his commitment to rapid and sustained development for the region. His speech in Dhule is the first of a series of rallies planned across the state, with a second scheduled in Nashik later in the day.

At the rally, PM Modi underscored the critical need for a BJP-led government to ensure stability in Maharashtra, a point he stressed repeatedly throughout his address. In his view, only a stable government can drive the state’s growth trajectory and meet the aspirations of its people. “We see people as a form of god, while some enter politics only to exploit them,” Modi stated, implying that a BJP-led administration focuses on service and dedication to the citizens rather than self-serving motives.

The Prime Minister did not hold back on his criticism of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, describing it as divided and focused on internal power struggles rather than the state’s welfare. He observed that the coalition partners were often “fighting for the driver’s seat,” suggesting that the alliance was plagued by competition over leadership rather than cooperation for progress. “If they are united, they feel safe,” he added, implying that their unity is more about self-preservation than a shared vision for Maharashtra.
Modi also brought up recent developments in Jammu and Kashmir, alleging that the Congress and INDI alliance, upon forming a government in the region, passed a resolution in the J&K Legislative Assembly to restore Article 370. He characterized this move as a “conspiracy against Kashmir,” accusing the opposition of being out of step with national interests and the aspirations of the region’s people.
In his pledge to voters, Modi emphasized that Maharashtra’s development must not lose momentum, assuring them that a BJP-led government would continue the growth initiatives of the past two-and-a-half years. He reiterated the BJP’s commitment to deliver effective governance that prioritizes Maharashtra’s long-term development, stability, and the welfare of its citizens.
With this strong start to his campaign, PM Modi’s message was clear: only a stable, dedicated government led by the BJP can ensure Maharashtra’s progress without the distraction of political infighting, securing a prosperous future for the state.
